Scopes

Scopes define what Dawnguard evaluates, and which rules apply to specific environments.

Overview

The Scopes page lets you create and manage scopes across your Dawnguard workspace. From here, you can create scopes, configure their cloud connections, documents, and guardrails, and delete scopes when no longer needed.

Create a scope

  1. Open Settings → Scopes
  2. Click + Create scope
  3. Enter a scope name
  4. Optionally enter a description
  5. Click Next
  6. Select cloud connections, documents, and guardrails and click Create or click Skip for now if you wish to finish the scope configuration later

Managing scopes

Rename a scope

  1. Go to Settings → Scopes
  2. Hover over a scope's row
  3. Click on the dotted menu
  4. Select Rename scope
  5. Rename the scope
  6. Click Save changes

Edit a scope

  1. Open Settings → Scopes
  2. Hover over a scope's row
  3. Click on the dotted menu
  4. Select Edit scope
  5. Edit cloud connections, documents, and guardrails.
  6. Click Save changes

Delete a scope

  1. Open Settings → Scopes
  2. Use the three dots in the scopes table when hovering over a scope
  3. Click Delete
  4. Type in the scope name
  5. Press Delete
